Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Announces Major 1.44 Lakh Job Drives

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced on Thursday that his government will soon fill 36,000 vacancies, adding to the 1.44 lakh jobs already provided to youths on merit by the BJP-led state administration. During an event where he hoisted the national flag and paid tribute to martyrs, Saini highlighted several key achievements and future plans aimed at the state’s development.

Job Creation and Employment Initiatives

Saini emphasized the government’s commitment to job creation, noting that 1.44 lakh government jobs have been awarded based on merit. He further announced plans to fill 36,000 more vacancies soon. In addition to government jobs, the state has secured employment for 1.20 lakh individuals through outsourcing services and the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam.

On the education front, Saini revealed that 76 new colleges have been established across the state, including 32 dedicated to women. He highlighted the government’s initiative to provide free education up to the postgraduate level for girls. Moreover, 5,105 girls pursuing higher education abroad have been granted loans totaling ₹20.28 crore, with the government offering a 5% interest subsidy.

Empowerment and Development of Women

In a move to enhance women’s livelihood opportunities, the government has allocated one-third of ration depots to women. Saini announced an ambitious goal to empower two lakh women as ‘Lakhpati Didis’ through various training programs, with the first phase aiming to include 62,000 women. He also lauded the introduction of the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill by the central government, which aims to increase women’s participation in democracy by providing 33% reservation in legislative bodies.

Saini spoke about the state’s achievements in infrastructure development, including the announcement of 20 new national highways, with nine completed so far. Over the past decade, ₹40,000 crore has been invested in constructing 1,350 km of national highways.

Regarding sports, Saini proudly mentioned that four out of six medals won by India at the Paris Olympic Games were secured by athletes from Haryana. He also noted that three players from Haryana were part of the bronze medal-winning hockey team. The state is developing ultra-modern sports infrastructure to provide athletes with training facilities that meet global standards.

Saini assured that the current government has eradicated fear, corruption, nepotism, and regionalism, which have previously hindered development and fair access to government jobs. He reiterated the state’s commitment to equal development across all sectors under the ethos of “Haryana ek-Haryanvi ek.”

The Chief Minister also announced an increase in the pension for freedom fighters and their widows to ₹40,000 per month starting from July and declared a 10% reservation for Agniveers in direct recruitments by the Haryana government.

Haryana continues to be a significant contributor to the nation, ranking second in central food grain stock contributions and being a hub for automobile manufacturing, with every second car on Indian roads being made in Haryana.
