The India-Malaysia Joint Military Exercise “Harimau Shakti -2022″ was launched in Pulai, Kluang, Malaysia on 28 November and will culminate on 12 December 22. Exercise HARIMAU SHAKTI is an annual training event between the Indian and Malaysian armies that has been ongoing since 20 .

Combat units of the Indian Army’s GARHWAL RIFLES Regiment and the Malaysian Army’s Royal Malay Regiment are participating in an exercise this year to share experience gained during operations to improve interoperability in planning and executing various jungle operations. terrain. The scope of this exercise includes Battalion-level Command Planning Exercise (CPX) and Company-level Field Exercise (FTX) for sub-conventional jungle field operations.

The plan for the joint exercise includes the establishment of a joint command post, a joint surveillance center, sharing expertise in the use of air assets, technical demonstrations, casualty management and casualty evacuation, in addition to battalion-level logistics planning. Joint field exercises, joint battle discussions and joint demonstrations will culminate in a two-day verification exercise, where special emphasis will be placed on improving tactical skills and enhancing interoperability between forces and promoting military-to-military relations. “Exercise HARIMAU SHAKTI” will enhance the level of defense cooperation between the Indian Army and the Malaysian Army, which will further strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations.
